Kinnitria
Kinnitria was sculpted as a representation of the elemental spirits of the waterways that thrive in the tropical rainforests of the Daintree.
Once she was sculpted, fired, glazed, and fired again, she was mounted onto a black starry night sky acrylic painted board.
The waterways of the rainforests in Far North Queensland are classified into either brown or clear. Regardless of their colour, each is populated by thousands of elemental water sprites. They travel through the currents and energise the water as it flows out to sea. Kinnitria is a representation of one of these beautiful little fairy friends
Sculpted by hand using locally sourced Far North Queensland clay, created in Cairns, Qld, Australia.
