Languidaire

A$6,000.00

This Spirit Sculpture depicts a Spirit named Languidaire.

Here is his Message:

While it’s true that its best to allow the heart and intuition to lead the way, this can easily lead us astray if we aren’t in tune with the truth of who we are and how we really feel.

This inner deception may be linked to anxieties, fears, or self-deception for the sake of protecting our true self. We all tell ourselves little half-truths to get by. This only becomes a problem when the deception begins to overpower the truth within ourselves. Deep down, we know when we have been wrong or right, maybe not in the heat of a confrontation, but after some time and honest self-reflection, the best thing we can do is to be honest with ourselves.

Sculpted by hand using locally-sourced Australian Clay by Spirit Artist Elena Steere. This Piece has been fired in a kiln twice, making it extremely tough and durable (which means it can be hung outdoors)

However, it is made of the same material as regular mugs and tableware, therefor it will shatter upon sudden severe impact like dropping from a height above 2m. To minimise this weakness and aid the mounting process, The Sculpture has been fused to a thick but lightweight weather-treated marine ply which has black hanging-wire on the back. The Marine ply has been painted in a black starry night outdoor acrylic and measures 41cm width, 61cm length, and 15cm depth away from the wall.
