Matrinion Turkey Tail
Hand-Sculpted using locally-sourced clay, native to Far North Queensland.
Matrinon was sculpted as a representation of the elemental spirits of the turkey tail mushrooms that thrive in the tropical rainforests of the Daintree.
Once he was sculpted, fired, glazed, and fired again, he was mounted onto a black starry night sky acrylic painted board, then adorned in his namesake; the turkey tail mushroom.
These mushrooms are unique in that they do not decay over time and hold a paper-like consistency over the years. This has been re-inforced with a layer of matte polish which will keep the natural wonder looking very much alive and growing from Matrinion.
